FOREIGN LANGUAGES Centre of the University of Wrocław organises a Certificate of SPNJO UWr in modern languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian) at the B2, C1 level (see curriculum content) and in Latin.
Anyone who passes the SPNJO UWr Certificate is awarded a university certificate.
The SPNJO UWr Certificate is an external exam, which means that the grade from this exam is NOT automatically recognised as a mandatory final exam grade and is NOT automatically entered into the student’s USOS account.
Students who wish to have their SPNJO UWr Certificate grade recognised as a final exam grade and entered into the USOS system are required to indicate this on the enrolment form – information below.
The grade will be entered into the USOS system by the end of the current session.
The Certificate of the SPNJO UWr is held in the building of Foreign Languages Centre (pl. Nankiera 2/3: see on the plan) in the winter, summer and re-sit exams session in September, as well as on individual dates. The detailed dates of the SPNJO UWr Certificate in the summer exams session and the re-sit exams session in September will be announced at the beginning of the summer semester.
Registration, rules and regulations
Enrolment for the CERTIFICATE will be conducted remotely.
A candidate taking the SPNJO Certificate should:
- become familiar with the form of the SPNJO UWr CERTIFICATE and the scope of the material (programme content),
- register by submitting the completed form at the link (active at the dates given in the table).
- read the content of the e-mail sent after closing the enrolment form describing the next steps of the procedure,
- after receiving the confirmation by e-mail about the admission to the SPNJO UWr Certificate, pay the fee by the specified deadline (account number and date will be given in the e-mail) and send the proof of payment in the form of a scan or as a PDF file to: certyfikat.spnjo@uwr.edu.pl;
- turn up 15 minutes before the beginning of the exam,
- show an ID with a photo before entering the room.
A candidate who has not completed the formalities in time will not be admitted to the examination.
The cost of the SPNJO UWr Certificate:
employees, students and doctoral students of UWr: PLN 400
external candidates: PLN 450
In the case of resignation from participation in the SPNJO UWr Certificate, a candidate may obtain a refund of the fee (after deducting the cost of the processing fee of PLN 30), if he/she notifies the resignation at least 3 days before the appointed date of the SPNJO UWr Certificate.
A person who has missed the exam without prior notice is not entitled to a refund of the examination fee.
The SPNJO UWr Certificate is considered passed if a candidate takes two parts of the SPNJO UWr Certificate: a) written and b) oral and obtains min. 60%.
A candidate who resigns from taking one part of the SPNJO UWr Certificate will not receive a refund of the fee.
The oral part of the SPNJO UWr Certificate in English follows the written part. The lists for this part are arranged alphabetically. The estimated finishing time for the oral part is 4.30 – 5.00 p.m. The exact time will be given on the day of the exam and will depend on the number of candidates.

GENERAL PRINCIPLES
- The exam consists of a written part (135 minutes) and an oral part (15 minutes), both conducted on the same day.
- The oral part is conducted by two examiners.
- Candidates partake in the oral part of the exam in pairs; in case of one candidate, one of the examiners becomes his/her interlocutor.
- The list of people to take the exam is determined by the examination committee.
- After having received their set of questions, the candidates prepare separately for 15 minutes.
- All parts of the exam are evaluated parallelly by two examiners according to established criteria.
- The candidate passes the exam when a minimum total score of 60% (from both the written and oral parts) is attained.
C1 EXAM
