
Final exam – who is it for?
Students who have completed the course will be examined by their teacher. They do not have to register for the exam.
The information below applies to students who are not taking the final exam with their teacher and have been exempt from the language course. This type of final exam is organized for:
- Students who, as a result of our placement test, qualified for the exam (achieved C1-I level and take the exam on the B2II level),
- Students who have not taken the exam with their teacher at a designated time at the end of their language course,
- Students who qualified for the exam on the basis of grades obtained at another university (these grades must be recognised by the SPNJO UWr).
Students who cannot submit an appropriate certificate or document on the basis of which they can be exempt from the course or the exam can take the FLC Certificate.

General information
- This is an exam for students who are exempt from the foreign language course, but are required to pass the final exam.
- Students who have registered for the exam via the form (English) or with the team coordinator (other languages) are required to sit the exam.
- An unexcused absence means that the allocated slot lapses.
- In the case of absence due to illness, please contact the exam coordinator. See: contact persons
- Students may sit the final exam only in one exam session. In the event of a failing grade, the student is required to sit the exam in the second slot during the next re-sit session following the first slot of the session. Absence means that the allocated slot lapses.
- An unsatisfactory grade in both slots means the student must repeat the subject at a fee. The student is required to enrol in classes at the level at which they failed the exam.
- There is a complete ban on bringing mobile phones and other electronic and multimedia devices into the exam rooms.
- Students are required to present identification.
- The exams are held in the SPNJO building, located at Nankiera 2/3.

- Students have the right to sit the exam before the slot allocated in the study programme.
The final exam at level B2-II is open to first-cycle students and students of uniform master’s studies* who:
- as a result of the qualification test, reached level C1-I, i.e., qualified for the B2-II level exam (the test result is valid indefinitely),
- did not show up for the exam at the appointed time with the lecturer from whom they obtained a B2-II level pass,
- have obtained a pass at a level entitling them to take the exam on the basis of a pass obtained at another university,
- a pass has been recognized by SPNJO UWr (see exemptions below).
*Students of uniform master’s studies in law, psychology, special education, pre-school and early school pedagogy, as well as medical molecular biotechnology are required to take an exam at level B2-II according to the slot allocated in the study programme, followed by an exam at level B2+.
The final exam at level B2+ is open to second-cycle students and students of uniform master’s studies* who:
- have obtained a pass at a level entitling them to take the exam on the basis of a pass obtained at another university,
- a pass has been recognized by SPNJO UWr (see exemptions below).
*Students of uniform master’s studies in law, psychology, special education, pre-school and early school pedagogy, as well as medical molecular biotechnology are required to take an exam at level B2-II according to the slot allocated in the study programme, followed by an exam at level B2+.
Exemptions
Full-time students who wish to obtain a graded credit on the basis of a certificate or other document from the list below should contact the coordinators of the following sections:
- English: In order to obtain an exemption from English, a student should fill in the form and attach a maximum of two pages of a scan containing the exemption document. Student obtained a pass at B2 level at University of Wrocław (different faculty) or at another university but did not take the exam.

- Foreign Language Teacher Training College Graduation Diploma,
- foreign language studies graduate diploma first degree and second degree studies
- certificates B2 or higher that attest to skills in 4 areas: reading, listening, writing, speaking. Certificates issued before 2018 won’t be accepted.
- Exams at B2-II level at University of Wrocław (different faculty)
- Exams at B2 level at another university. A prerequisite for exemption is a course syllabus consistent with the syllabus of SPNJO (Foreign Language Centre).

B2-II exam description
- When is the exam considered passed?
The exam consists of a written part and an oral part. Candidates are required to take both parts of the exam. For the exam to be considered passed, the student must obtain at least 60% of the points in the written part and at least 60% of the points in the oral part.
In case of an unsatisfactory grade, the student must retake the entire exam.

- Registrations for the English exam are to be done via the Form (active in registration periods).
- Please choose one dates slot for the written part and one dates slot for the oral part.
- The written part of the English exam is held in two rounds: I round 15.30-17.10, II round 17.20-19.00. The student will be registered for one of these rounds. The student should arrive for the written part of the exam at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Candidates who arrive late for the written part will not be allowed to take the exam.
- The oral part takes place from 08.00 to 18.00. The student will be registered for a specific time.
- In May (date only for the last WPAiE cohorts) and in the winter re-sit session, both parts of the exam are held on the same day.
- Please come to both parts of the exam with writing utensils and ID.

2nd Registration Dates
- Students may sit the final exam only in one exam session.
- In the event of an unsatisfactory grade in the first dates slot or an unexcused absence in the first slot, the student should take the second slot in the next re-sit session.
- In the event of an unexcused absence in the second slot or an unsatisfactory grade in the second slot, the student is required to repeat the B2-II/B2+ foreign language course for a fee due to failure to achieve the learning outcomes.

- The exam results are not published. Grades are entered only into the USOS system.
- Grades will be entered into the USOS system by the end of the session.
- During the winter session, grades are entered into USOS before closure of registrations for the second slot.
