Exemptions from the foreign language course
- If any student wishes to be exempt from the foreign language course on the basis of a certificate, they should not take the placement test or sign up for the foreign language course. Any student who takes the placement test will not be able to exempt themself from the foreign language course on the basis of a certificate or any other document recognised by SPNJO issued on any earlier date than the date upon which they take the placement test.
- A student can be exempted from the foreign language course on the basis of a certificate confirming four language competences. A list of recognised certificates can be found here: modern languages.
- A diploma for the completion of a higher education course in English is not a basis for exemption from the foreign language course.
- Any student who has a diploma for philology in any foreign language other than those offered by SPNJO should apply to the Dean of their faculty for exemption from the foreign language course.
- Any certificates or assessments older than five years will not be accepted.
- Any student who would like to use the allocated time slots to learn another language should present the appropriate exemption documentation as soon as possible.
